COAN was blessed to have the privilege of baptizing ten new believers during Wednesday’s midweek service. Following the baptism, someone approached moderator Pastor Pedro Pereira with a question, “aren’t you supposed to be on vacation?”Followed by, “so you came back especially for the baptism? Pastor Pedro replied, "Yes, I did so because I could not pass up this opportunity."
The person then asked Pastor, “what do you mean."Pastor Pedro replied, "in Matthew 28 Jesus said, “go therefore and preach the gospel to all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them all the things I have commanded you, and I will be with you always to the end of the age.” What that means is that Pastor Boykin preached the gospel on Sunday, people responded by coming forward to receive Jesus Christ into their hearts, today we teach them about following the Lord’s command to be baptized and then baptized, therefore we have fulfilled the great commission, we did our part, now the best part is that Jesus will do His which is to be with us always, even unto the end of the age. click for photos HUNDREDS RECEIVE CHRIST – Nearly 200 individuals came forward for salvation during the 9 and 11AM services as COAN Senior Pastor Mark Boykin delivered a dramatic illustrated sermon entitled, “HELL HAS NO SECOND CHANCES.” Depicting lost friends during his childhood through adult life, Pastor Boykin testified of how each one of those losses seared both good and bad recollections into his mind and spirit. Growing up in a pastor’s home, Pastor Mark relived the deaths of his close friends and gave an account of each ones relationship with Jesus Christ at the time of their deaths. Pulling no punches and mixing no words, Pastor Mark pleaded for those who did not know Christ on Sunday to come forward. Some 200 individuals did just that packing the platform as the spirit of God moved throughout the sanctuary. In a beautiful display of the power of the Holy Spirit and His desire that all should come to repentance, it was a joyous occasion because truly HELL HAS NO SECOND CHANCES. for photos To the chants of: “WHAT DO WE WANT? IMMIGRATION REFORM!, WHEN DO WE WANT IT?, NOW!” an enthusiastic crowd of over 200 demonstrators marched from Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach beginning at City Hall and ending at Centennial Square.

If these negative trends continue, the future of our families, churches, businesses, and economy will be at severe risk. The time has come for change. The time has come for sensible immigration reform! We are calling all community leaders and concerned citizens to join us as we pray for and support immigration reform in our state and our nation. I would personally like to invite you to two upcoming events to express our need and desire for change.

In an historic evening at Church of All Nations, candidates for both governor and Attorney General of Florida graciously accepted invitations to participate in an open forum discussion moderated by West Palm Beach affiliate CBS12’s Suzane Boyd and Rev. Mark Boykin of Church of All Nations in Boca Raton. Gubernatorial candidates included Bud Chiles, Brian Moore, and current Attorney General Bill McCullom. Candidates Rick Scott and Alex Cink were no shows.
Rev. Boykin covered a broad spectrum of topics including the economy, big government, unemployment and one of the hottest topics of the evening, Immigration reform. Also covered were education and FCAT’s, the current state of the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico and future drilling in Florida, social networking and Israel’s settlement of the West Bank. In addition, Rev. Boykin, representing the Christian Family Coalition, asked family value questions including same sex marriage, same sex adoption, and sonograms before abortion. Each candidate was brought center stage for an individual discussion for approximately fifteen minutes followed by a rapid fire forum where all three candidates participated simultaneously. Following the Gubernatorial Forum, a brief forum was held for Attorney General. Participating were Holly Denson and Jeff Kottkamp. click for photos The Immigration Reform Prayer Rally held Saturday evening July 17th was a glimpse of greater things to come. With a diverse crowd, South Florida pastors and special guests represented those who stand to lose most if the Immigration Reform Bill is not reasonable and fair.
COAN Senior Pastor Mark D. Boykin opened the evening with brief remarks regarding the history of the Immigration Reform Bill and the need to insure that it is presented in an equitable manner. Pastor Boykin mentioned fear as an obstacle to the bill's success and shared similarities found in the Book of Leviticus with those in attendance.
With all that is happening both locally and nationally, fear and uncertainty are hurdles that must be overcome in order for the Reform Bill to succeed. The remainder of the evening included various pastors praying for specific areas of need regarding the Immigration Reform Bill. COAN Pastor Ben Gomez closed out the night with words of encouragement and a call to action as we head into the battle ahead. click for photos ![]() ![]() The Christian Family Coalition (CFC) launched its Palm Beach County initiative with a luncheon for Family, Faith, and Freedom at the Boykin residence in Boca Raton. Over 70 people attended the event. The event began with a delicious Brazilian meal featuring churassco. Following the meal, Rev. Mark D. Boykin, the CFC’s Palm Beach County Coordinator, Mr. Tony Verdugo, the Executive Director for the CFC, and the featured guest, Mr. Joel Oster of the Alliance Defense Fund, each spoke. Mr. Oster explained the various ways that our Christian heritage has recently been under attack and encouraged the group to be involved in the fight to protect our religious freedoms. Mr. Verdugo also shared several ways that believers can take a stand for their rights. He encouraged the group to be informed about the issues, to be persistent in standing for their freedoms, and to hold elected officials accountable for their actions.
