July Luncheon |
|
|
|
In July, over 20 seniors
gathered for our Prayer Luncheon. Our meal this month was
provided by Picanha Brazil. Following lunch, the group enjoyed a
musical tribute to the Gaither Vocal Band led by Sisters Dawn
Crabtree and Beth Boykin. Pr. David Crabtree was our guest
speaker and shared on the subject on prayer.
Pr. David explained that there
are 4 key ways that God answers prayer: “No,” “Slow,” “Grow,” or
“Go.” Following the message, the group prayed for special
requests. The ministers present also prayed for each person
personally, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. |

June Luncheon |
|
|
|
Our June event featured a
fellowship luncheon in the Prayer Room. The luncheon included a
delicious meal catered by Boston Market. Sister Dawn Crabtree
led worship, taking special requests from the group. In his
message, Pr. David Crabtree provided several keys to overcoming
fear. He encouraged the group to admit their fears, to commit
them to God, to release them, and then to stand firm. The
luncheon concluded with a time of testimonies and prayer. |

Italian
Luncheon (April) |
|
Over 30 people
gathered in Faith Chapel for our Italian luncheon in April.
Pastor David and Sister Dawn Crabtree were our special guest
ministers. Sister Dawn led worship and played a beautiful medley
of Christian songs requested by the group.

Pastor David gave a
powerful message concerning how Christians should deal with the
unexpected in their lives. Those who attended the luncheon were
blessed by the tremendous fellowship, powerful testimonies, and
spiritual edification that they shared at the meeting. |

Nursing Home Outing -
February 2008 |
|
|
|
In February, a group of 30 people,
including seniors, young adults, and leaders in the Jr. High
ministry, went to Manor Care Nursing Home in Boca Raton for an
afternoon of ministry.

The Nursing
Home Outreach began with a min-service in the main meeting hall
that included fun songs, scripture reading, a salvation message,
and individual prayer.

Following the
service, the group visited the rooms of the seniors in the
facility and distributed over 100 gift bags containing stuffed
animals and encouragement cards. Young At Heart would like to
thank Manor Care, Sister Eliza Lovelace, our Extreme Jr. High
ministry, and all the faithful saints who made the outreach
possible.
