“CROSSWALK” Huge Success |
|
|
|
Largest Demonstration in
Churches History |
|
|
|
 |
|
"Shofar"
is sounded |
|
|
Over 375 church members and their children participated in
the “Crosswalk” demonstration on the
public walkways in front of Boca Town Center Mall
Saturday May 10th.
“Crosswalk” was prompted by an incident of
discrimination by an official at the Boca Town Center Mall
in March, 2008.

Crosswalkers
at entry to Town Center Mall
The discrimination was directed toward a large group of
youths and pastors from Church of All Nations as they
participated in the yearly tradition of Via Dolorosa.
They
were approached by security in the parking lot of the mall
while attempting to store crosses in the church van in order
to go inside the mall and get something to eat.

Senior Pastor Mark Boykin enjoying
some fellowship prior to the start of "Crosswalk"
Senior Pastor Mark Boykin declared Saturday May 10, 2008, as
“Crosswalk”, a day to boycott the Boca Town
Centre Mall, and participate in a peaceful demonstration.
Preparations began early Saturday morning in the
sanctuary of the church. “Crosswalk” t-shirts
were distributed in the foyer to members that had signed-up
for the walk, while others purchased theirs at the last
minute.

CMI minister Paul Doe expresses his faith
Inside the sanctuary, Pastor Boykin, Pastor Mark
Kulczycky and Pastor Kevin Slack prayed with the
participants and gave instructions. Brightly dressed in red
and white “Crosswalk” t-shirts, the group
headed out.
The group headed towards Faith Chapel, making a quick
stop to load up on water for the long walk in the hot,
bright sun.

"Train a child up in the way he shall
go...
Two Boca Raton Police cars were positioned at the
intersection of Glades Road and NW 4th Avenue, directing
traffic as the growing group began to cross to the south
side of Glades Road .
The participants carried a large wooden cross and
approximately 13 smaller ones, spread throughout the 375
individuals.
Decked out in their beautiful red
"Crosswalk" t-shirts, was the scripture on the back
which read: “I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because
it is the power of God for the Salvation of everyone who
believes”. Romans 1:16

Family affair: Pastor Numa Bien Aime and
children gather for the start of "Crosswalk"
Pastor Kevin and Pastor Mark Kulczycky walked up and down
the line of protestors giving high fives, greeting and
encouraging everyone.
Senior Associate of Church of All Nations Pastor Andres
Montesino also participated in the walk, helping people
cross safely at difficult intersections.
On the way, two women standing in the shade asked Pastor
Jorge Lopez what we were doing and he told them “JESUS
RALLY” as the group continued to walk. |

MOTHERS
DAY: SUNDAY, MAY 11, 2008
PASTOR MARK D. BOYKIN
BAD MOTHERS |
|
|
 |
|
Rev. Mark
D.Boykin |
|
|
|
Apologizing to the congregation for using a negative title
to stress a point, Pastor Boykin preached on the topic of
"bad mothers" to drive home the point of how mothers
influence their family.
Mothers have a great amount of influence on their sons
and daughters, as well as their husbands. Mothers are a
blessing to the church at large.
Pastor Mark Boykin pointed
out that women were at the cutting edge of the Pentecostal
movement at the beginning of the Twentieth Century due to
the number of men involved in the war at the same time.

God has used women throughout the years and throughout
the world to spread the Gospel. Women have prayed day and
night for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit throughout the
ages.
We can exalt the great women of faith throughout the Bible
and their influence and achievements. But, mothers'
influence can also be a bad influence too.
We can see that today in the influence of mothers on
young starlets. Many kids today attain instant celebrity and
get lost in their own success. They make bad decisions,
although their mothers should be giving them moral and
spiritual guidance.

There is a moral shaking going on. Even now, the spirit
of anti-Christ is among us. This can be seen in signs that
we are living in the end times.
Everything that can be
shaken is being shaken, including the weather, government,
institutions and most importantly the church.
The Lord will shake loose the wheat from the chaff, the
sheep from the goats the His Church from the apostate
church.
In II Corinthians 22:2-4; we see the story of Ahaziah,
the son of Athaliah. His mother was of royalty and so
therefore, was he. His mother was the daughter of King
Ahab, who was married to King Judah.

As set forth in II Corinthians 22: 3,4 referring to
Ahazaish, "He also walked in the ways of the house of
Ahab, for his mother advised him to do wickedly.
Therefore
he did evil in the sight of the Lord, like the house of
Ahab; for they were like his counselors after the death of
his father, to his destruction."
It is a marvelous blessing to be a mother. It can be said as
follows:

God can not be everywhere, so He made mothers.
The hand that rocks the cradle, rocks the world.
and so on................................
Mothers Day is a holy day to praise the mothers of the
world. But bad mothers can have just as much influence as
good mothers.
Mothers have a powerful effect on their
children, husbands and family. In the story of Athaliah, she
had influence over her son.
She was his counselor, but chose
to do evil. Her son had no fatherly influence, as his father
died while he was very young.

Mothers today influence not only our children, but our
husbands. |
